Add a great decorative accent to any room of the house with our handmade Grid shibori indigo pillow. We created the pattern on this shibori indigo pillow at our studio using authentic stitch resist shibori techniques which ensure that this pillow is entirely unique. This pillow was hand-dyed in our indigo vat a minimum of 10 times to create the dynamic combination of deep midnight blues and crisp white tones that look charmingly stylish from any distance.

The fabric on this pillow is a textural Polish linen with rustic character that is pleasing to the touch and evokes an elegantly luxurious feeling.

This particular design has been created using a double pleat process. The fabric has been stitch-pleated, wrapped and dyed in indigo to achieve one set of parallel lines. The process was then repeated a second time to achieve an additional set of lines that run perpendicular to the first set.

Pillow front fabric - 100% linen

Pillow back fabric - Indigo-dyed cotton and linen blend

About the Vendor

Our aim is simple - to design great textiles with creative intent that are rooted in the modern age and honour the human touch.

Modern innovation moves us forward at breakneck speed, leaving the precious and sacred by the wayside. The spirit and pride of craftsmanship and the beauty of imperfections that add human character to objects are being lost.

Through our work, we aim to do our part in keeping these things relevant (and offer them as an antidote) to today's busy world.

Objects made by hand with careful attention to detail and creative intent exude all the light and darkness of a complex human character. These objects speak to people on a deeper individual level in a way that uniformly manufactured utilitarian items cannot.

We want people to re-engage with this feeling and use it to ground themselves by re-kindling an appreciation for a particular rustic human sense.
